Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston Tuition Assistance

Need-based tuition assistance at Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston Catholic schools, awarded through a FACTS application and layered on top of TEFA.

Archdiocesan schools use FACTS to assess need. Round 1 has historically opened December 1 and closed in early March for the following school year; schools are posting 2027-28 dates now.

Schools ask eligible families to apply for TEFA as well. Under the state's tuition guidelines, a school may consider a TEFA award when deciding need-based aid, but may not charge a TEFA family a different tuition.

Parishioner rates, sibling discounts and parish subsidies are common and continue to apply for TEFA families.
