Paying for Jewish day school in Houston

Houston's Jewish day schools — concentrated in Meyerland, Bellaire and southwest Houston — can participate in TEFA when they meet the accreditation and operating requirements.

TEFA first

A participating day school is paid the same $10,474 as any other school; the account can also cover eligible fees, books and transportation.

Community tuition assistance

Most schools pair TEFA with community-funded need-based aid for the balance.

Early childhood

Synagogue preschools that are TEFA pre-K providers can be paid from the account for eligible 3- and 4-year-olds.
