Microschool founders: three ways TEFA can fund you

Houston already has Prenda and Acton-model microschools in the state finder. Here is how each path works.

As a participating school

Accredited by a TEPSAC-recognized body or TEA, two years in operation, annual norm-referenced testing. Families receive $10,474.

As a marketplace vendor

Tutoring, teaching services, classes and enrichment can be sold to TEFA families through the marketplace on a rolling application. Homeschool families pay from the $2,000 account.

Through a network

Joining a network such as Prenda or Acton can shorten the path to accreditation and recognition.

Credentials

Every lead educator must meet the Comptroller's credential policy.
